If you have an Android smartphone, it is important to note that the app is only supported by Android 6 software and later.
Go to the Afriforum 911 website (www.afriforum911.co.za) on your laptop, desktop or Android phone’s web browser on your Android smartphone.
Click on Register here and then on Join and follow the instructions to create your profile.
Write down your username and password that you created.
Select either the free or the Premium version of the app on your smartphone.
Select the province that you live in.
After selecting your province, you must select an emergency response and protection centre (ERPC) – select AfriForum Basic.
Use your username and password in future to log into your profile. You can now also update your personal information under MyVault. Remember: The more we know about you, the better we can assist in an emergency.
Go to the Google Play Store and download the AfriForum 911 app on your phone.
Use the username and password that you have just created in step 2 above.
The app will automatically populate your details.
Congratulations! You are now registered on the AfriForum 911 app, and AfriForum’s control room will monitor you in future.
You can now use your Afriforum 911 emergency app anywhere in South Africa.
Activate the AfriForum 911 app once you have downloaded it to familiarise yourself with it in case of an emergency.
Save the emergency telephone number 086 111 6154 on your mobile phone, and also keep it next to your land line.
Update your MyVault profile regularly by using either the app or the website.
